Exhibition:

Ora Brill (b. 1958, Israel) is a multidisciplinary artist, with a 20 years’ experience in art teaching and art teachers mentoring. Has graduated the Oranim Art Institute in Israel and has an M. ED from the Boston Lesley College. She was a member of the Israeli Museums Council and is a member of the Association of Women’s Art and Gender Research in Israel. Brill has exhibited nine solo shows in well recognized galleries in Israel and has participated in many group exhibitions in Israel and England. A project worth mentioning is a shared international project which brought together British and Israeli artists into a continuous dialog dealing on the identity theme; this dialog culminated with an exhibition at the Weikfield Art House in England. Her studio relocation to an industrial area of Tel Aviv, a few years ago, has introduced new materials and techniques into her work, alongside the initial traditional techniques of painting and drawing typical to her work. Thus, her studio became a kind of a laboratory in which she is processing and experiencing new ideas, found materials and interactions. In her paintings, drawings, books and videos, Brill inquires subjects such as gender identity, her family culture and political sources, and the inter-relations between people and their environment
