About Dana Ariel
Dr Dana Ariel is an artist and lecturer in photography who lives and works in London. She received her PhD, a research project entitled Sites of Unlearning: Encountering Perforated Ground, from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London with a studentship from the London Arts and Humanities Partnership in 2018. Dana received her MFA with distinction from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2013 and BFA with distinction in 2009 from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. She is the winner of the Barto Dos Santos Prize for her work in print and winner of the Brighton Photo Fringe Festival 2016, where she exhibited a solo exhibition entitled Encountering Perforated Ground. Her work has been exhibited internationally in various venues and events including: Broken Ground, Neo Gallery 22, Bolton (solo exhibition), The International Print Biennial, Newcastle, 12 Star Gallery, Roaming Room and UCL art Museum in London, Florentin 45, Tel-Aviv and Gallery 61, Bielefeld, Germany.
